She is the only one who can decide that. What might be right for one person, might not be right for another! She should be coached by her parents to wait. You will play a big role in her decision to wait it out or to start right away. Were you a good role model? If not tell her about the importance of contraception and the risks associated with sexual relations. Personally, I feel sixteen or seventeen is a correct time frame. Good luck!

Did you start at 18? If so that's the LEGAL age. It is better to wait until it's age and maturity appropriate to get physically involved with someone. With a woman it's one time and you can't get back what you have lost where as a with man it's not even an issue. Your parents should address this issue with your sister also. As the older sibling you also set the example and I sincerely hope you have not been "sharing" your experiences with your 13 year old sister. She could follow your lead and that would not help her.

It's always the best to do it on the wedding night. But if your sister who's only 13 and starts dating, it's too early for her. Let's take me for an example, my boyfriend and I had sex when I was 19. Although we chose to do it before marriage, at least we did it only at the age whereby we are ready to take on the responsibility of our own actions.

age isnt the question. she is ready to have sex when she is mature enough to handle the concequences-mental scars and even pregnancy. sex at a young age isnt good. many that have say they regret it im not saying all do but quite a bit do. save it for that 1 guy ur gona spend the rest your life with. theres no way your gona regret that and if u were to get pregnant u got ur guy with u to help out condoms and bc pills are NOT 100%effective..remember that only abstinance is

When she is old enough and mature enough to understand all about sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy.
You as her sister should set a good example and not sleep with so many men. That is not sending a good signal. Are you not worried about STDs or pregnancy? There is no positive way to keep yourself protected from those things. Sometimes condoms have holes in them....
What do your parents think about it??

No age for a teenage girl is right because nothing short of surgery will guarantee immunity from pregnancy and a teenage girls body has not developed enough to properly handle pregnancy.

In the UK, you should be 16 or over. In any case, wait until you feel ready and never be pressured into sex by anyone!
