Tell him that you're going to force him to watch Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth". Not only is it boring, but it's full of lies and scare tactics.

I saw the original "Alien" when I was 12, and I was plenty on edge.

Halloween

The First One More Than The Rest Although I Don't Find Any Of Them Scary But Out Of Them All I Would Say The First One For Sure

It really depends on how old he is.
Probably any of the halloween movies but if its really scary horror pic then Texas chain saw massacre or the original Amityville house. Not seen the remake but the original is scary.

The best Halloween movie is Halloween 3 but the best Horror movie is Hellraiser 2.
The Grudge is full of scary moments.

if you wanna get some really scary ones, get the old ones from the 30's and 40's. They were really atmospheric, and the filmmakers had loads of fun making them, because there was no CGI back then. They was made by using props and such.

I could watch "Dracula" (with Bela Lugosi, who else?) or "The Wolfman (with Lon Chaney Jr.) till hell freezes over, and never get bored of those movies. those are GREAT!! I love the old ones better than ANY modern day horror flick.

"listen to them! children of the night! What beautiful music they make!"

I would go for any Japanese movie, they like to scare unsing phsycology rather gore. They get your imagination going, even after the movie. Movies like the ring and the grudge are good examples, but go for the original versions.

Halloween III (I think), the one with the masks and stone henge etc. Not so much jumpy scary but down right freaky concepts.

Saw and Saw II gave my fiance nightmares. I, personally, had weird dreams after seeing both Ring movies.
