Unequivocally. The government is just a huge money making machine which will use any tool in it`s armoury to get what it wants, whether it be assasination or creating a situation of terror which it has already successfully achieved.

The 9/11 is the greatest damage that America has ever had in her soil, and this time it could have not been self infliceted simply because of its scale.
Now if you are into conspiracy theries, you might want to look at the event, itslefe, its manipulation and in the end who profits out of it.

No, I just do not think you are correct in this assumption, terrorism is a vary real threat to our way of life. I think it is enhanced by the neo-Conservative fear mongering rather then helping to inform.
