The symptoms you describe are classic polycystic ovary syndrome symptoms, especially if you feel fine otherwise. You should ask your OB/GYN about it and find out the cause of the lack of menstrual cycle. If you don't get an answer from this doctor, get another doctor because polycystic ovary syndrome is known to cause infertility. If there is a problem, you want to find out about it and begin treatment sooner rather than later.

Rapid weight loss or weight gain can cause this. Also it could be a hormone related problem. has your doctor suggested HRT ( hormone replacement therapy ) or the pill ( low dosage ) to get you on a regular cycle? I went through his a few years back. Had a cycle each month for 6 months and then went 6 months w/o one. Another possibility could be problems with the ovaries or your fallopian tubes. Good Luck!

Is your doctor a female? Did they check your hormon level? Are you one any type of Birth Control? Stress can cause your problem and more. However, I know for a fact there can be other reason also. Do you eat healthy?

It's not normal. Get tested for insulin resistance. You can possibly have PCOS. Visit the below link for more info.

Depending on your age, it could be normal if you are near to the menopause. If you are a teenager it could be normal until your body gets into a routine.
