My Ebay store wasn't getting any traffic so I had to pay my fees with my regular pay check. Most people will wait 28 days for a bill to be paid but paypal charged my checking account $192 17 days after I was issued the bill. Is there anything I can do to stop Paypal or at leat get the overdraft charge from them? They are the scum of the earth.

I accidentally bought something with my boyfriend's checking account instead of my credit card via paypal. Now he is $400 negative in his account. We have both called paypal and they say there is nothing they can do. The lady from paypal said that because paypal is based on "user initiated" transactions they can't help us at all. We are so upset because we definitely don't have $400. Good luck with those S.O.Bs

I love Paypal. I have never had any problems with it and when I have had problems with buyers not paying, Paypal always helps me solve the problem. I like that I can pay with Paypal on other sites and more are adding it everyday. When you sign up for Ebay, you agree that the fees will be held out of your Paypal account or if there is not enough money then it will be removed from your checking account. That is why you give them your checking account information. And the bill is always due the same time every month, so if you did not have the money in Paypal, you should have known it would be deducted from your bank account. It is not Paypal you should blame, they just debited what Ebay told them to and you accrued the fees with Ebay. If you don't pay your electric or phone bill on time, they will cut your power or phone off. Whose fault would that be? Accept that the responsibility is yours and quit blaming others.

Have you called their Customer Service? I'm sure in the fine print you agreed to pay the fees within a certain grace period. Make sure you find out what that grace period is for future reference. It sucks to be surprised. Also, if you use WaMu they waive one free overdraft on their checking account. Also, know that Ebay and paypal are the same company, and if you are unhappy with their business practices, go elsewhere.
