I know that we elect people to make decisions for us, but how do they get this info? I have written letters, etc, but all I have ever gotten back was a form letter...Thank you for your concern, blah blah...
Do any of these letters ever reach the elected officials themselves? Is there a more effective way to let your voice be heard?

Make sure you vote and let them know that. Local officials are usually easier to get to. Congress is all crooked. Both Parties. Unless you gave big $$$ they probably don't know you exist. But the staff does keep track of how many types of issues are brought up. If a congressman got 5000 letters in one week about a topic, chances are he's gonna look into it. You gotta figure they represent a ton of people, if they personally answered all of them they would get even less work done. haha

yes there is a way to get your voice heard start a multi-national corporation then put millions into the coffers of the politicians you wanna buy then whatever you want just buy it from them. otherwise just do as we all do survive day to day hope for a miracle that congress changes hands and some honest people get in it will only need be a few . in the meanwhile if you are middle class go out in your grubby clothes some weekend and give a bum 20 bucks to teach you how to survive on nothing 'cause that seems to be where we're headed and the street people are already tuned in on surviving just find one that is survivng and not just a drunk or a druggie it'll be hard but a good tip off is if they work and just have no home they'll teach you.

If you want to be heard in this administration, you have to be rich and donate a lot of money.
