...The funny thing about the planet is that...

it really doesn't matter what we do to it. Consider the greenhouse gas affect....

We screw around, our problems dont just leave - they turn right back down on us...and if we dont learn, we can just killed off by the herds. The Earth can regenerate, given enough years and start all over again.

As far as the future of this planet...the 'tenants" are currently being helped to take better care of their "unit" by certain "helpful parties"...as a whole the tenents will/are eventually on to what they are doing to the planet and will take better care of themselves and adapt to the problem.

This is why, the threat of global warming is becoming more of an advocation.

Personally I think it's majorly degrading, but not so much that it will affect the current generation. Give it a few hundred years and we may start to see the effects of the current happenings, but as long as the population stays as it is, it should be fine for a while.

our civilisation is the worrying thing, if we dont start to take steps toward improving our place in the world things are gonna get really ugly. we need to do this sooner than later because its our problem not just that of future generations, our great grandkids are really gonna hate us otherwise!! lol

Short term should be O.K.

But I rekon after I die in 50 years or so it will suck.

long term it has no hope as the sun will implode in 5 billion years.
