Im pretty much set on getting one. Im just wondering what kind of pain to expect when getting it pierced. Ive gotten my tongue, nose and ears pierced plus Ive peirced my own ears. Of all of those getting my ears pierced in a shop hurt the worse!
I know it depends on each person. Can anyone compare a lip piercing with another peircing?

A lip piercing does not hurt at all. I went with my brother and made him hold my hand. When they pierced it, I was like let my hand go lol. It fells like a pinch....and to think about it, not even a pinch. I was freaking out for nothing! :) It was just a little numb like a day or two. A 10 year old can bare it. That's how much it didn't hurt!

Depends on where on your lip you ger the piercing. Ifyou get a labret which is what I got it will hurt like a sob. Trust me. Scale of 1 to 10 its about a 7 they pierce your bottom lip right in the center. It doesnt hurt when they do it but wow just wait until about a day or 2 after.

Because there are more nerve endings in your lip it will hurt more than your nose or tongue. It also depends on where on your lip you are getting it done and at what angle. If you are going for a straight piercing it will hurt less than say, an angels kiss, because that is at such an agle and closer to the surface of the lip. But, it doesn't hurt as much as getting your nipples pierced or any of your genitals. So, hope that helps. Good luck and remember to always go to a clean shop that doesn't re-use needles. And keep the piercing clean - an infected piercing can be horrible.

I had my bottom lip pierced last summer and it didn't hurt until the aftermath of getting it pierced. The procedure was so quick that before you can say, "Ouch!" It's over but it stings and is really tender right after. My advice is to clean it daily with a antiseptic mouthwash or peroxide. Overall, it isn't excruciatingly painful but it is an annoying throb that only last about three-seven days. Hope this helps and good luck with everything :-)

It hurts ALOT less than nose. If you take two fingers and squeeze one nostril as hard as you can, that's around the amount of pain you can expect for that. While a lip piercing is like a bee sting, not great but not painful.

Got my lip pierced yesterday, it took no longer than 35 seconds. You literally feel it for a second and that is it. It depends on the piercer really. But everyone has different pain barriers. It's definitely worth it after. It just swells a little after.

Ive never had my lip pierced but im getting it done today... Will it hurt badly while getting it done cause I'm doing the piercing myself... I already bought the needle and the surgical steel rings... a'll though I don't have sensitive lips so would it hurt???
