certainly just melt the pennies and form them into a sword. Copper is a soft metal I don't know how good of a blade a soft metal would make if one was going to actually use it.

One obvious way involves collecting about 3,000 pennies, putting them in a jar, and heading to the nearest Renaissance fair. :)

Having access to a foundry would help, too, but then melting down currency makes most governments a bit testy.

It would be possible, But copper is to soft for a sword !
