Unfortunately, it's all about money and appearances. If "Dog" wasn't a rich celebrity, the Mexican Gov't would have kept their "bail" money and forgot about it.
There is an election in about one month, and wrong as it is, the politicians on BOTH SIDES are afraid to speak out or act on this. Not to worry though as the corruption south of the border runs deep, and "Dog" should be able to negotiate a "proper fine" for his "offense".

1. Stop using caps
2. It was rape, not child rape-- be accurate
3. Don't know what "send a rapist free" means, but he was not set free. He fled.
4. The US does NOT want to return Dog. We are bound by law. The US respects law, and the laws of other countries unlike MExico which very much wants to send all there poor here ilegally.

you got it all wrong he wasn't arrested because he brought back a wanted fugitive he was arrested for breaking Mexican laws tell you what try this analogy because you don't get it i see, go in Mexico commit the same crime then bail out and run to the USA Mexico bounty hunters come here kidnap you and bring you back to face justice, the US Gov, gets wind of the Mexicans breaking US laws and they ask Mexico for extradition of the bounty hunter get your facts streight
