Many Koreans base their generalization on what they see. An action of one person or even one situation can affect everything. Many of them think that there are more women in the Philippines who work and that men are in their houses doing household chores. The idea makes them irresponsible ones. I strongly disagree. Again, I disprove this inconsiderate judgment the best that I can. But if you were to disprove this, how would you say it?

well tell that kind of situation happens with both parties/husband /wife agree to have that kind of situation and its not that the Filipino men wants to just stay at home n do the housewife role, its just that sometimes it happens that there is more good opportunity for the women than the men and they just grab the opportunity for their family especially the children, but still there are more filipino men who strongly believe that its their obligation to raise their family, and also one of the reason is that it will be better if they will join hand i min if both parents are working they can provide their children a better lives.
If still he don't want to listen, let him, cause no matter how hard u will try to explain and elaborate thousands of reasons if his mind is close its just a waste of time talking to him.

They could be correct as they have been to both the philippines and korea, so they can compare. I haven't check the statistics of employment, but i really think there are more females than males working here or abroad as they can get more easily employed. Besides, traditional work for males are also being filled up by women. As there are more females in the philippines than the males, they are more visible.

the sad truth is that there are guys out there who would rather play basketball and let their wife work while they just screw around. Generalization or not you can see a high percentage of "house-bands" in the areas where there are factories or export zones. But if you go to the more "provincial" areas, e.g. farm lands, more men would rather work than have their wives work in factories. But the trend of stay-at-home hubbies are really growing big time.

I wouldn't worry about it. They will find out a more accurate picture with time..... assuming your assertion that what 'many of them believe' is a true summary.

More importantly, maybe you should set about reducing the number of Philippine women who have to travel abroad to work for lack of jobs for hard-working, educated Filipinos at home.

"judge not, lest yea be judged"....

simple but real.... why worry about other's opinions and views? do they really see thru what is righteous or not? so what if they see otherwise. point is, the practice of society's values and traits evolves with time. different cultures, different practices, different perspective... they know not what each of our roles are meant for they insist on what they were accustomed to. they are far too discipline in several aspects than we are, but our adaptability to scenarios and our approach far exceeds their reasons. just this, let them be. they do make us feel inferior but they're more insecure in their beliefs than we. success counts for what one does, not what others feel they want to know or do...

i agree with u on that.. Some of my friends say that many Koreans are rude and they don't respect women, they are inconsiderate and are not disciplined.

But isn't that a fact? there are so many OFWs and I think there are more women than men workng, guys can't be working as a domestic helper or a GRO?

I am not generalising, I liked your country but the facts hurt.

i think most of us base our generalizations on what we see.. racial stuff.. but u can't really say mean stuff about other groups of people if u havent had the chance to live with them or spend time with most of them..u cant just judge everybody through one person,if u know what i mean..
