The hymen is the most misunderstood part of anatomy. It isn't broken through when you have sex. It doesn't cover the vaginal opening. An imperforate hymen occurs in 1% of women and it is a gynecological emergency. That's the only time the vaginal opening is completely covered. The hymen never goes away. It is a part of basic female anatomy. Virginity cannot be determined by visual exam.

Yes. All girls have hymen, that piece of flesh that protects the vaginal opening. For a virgin, it is intact. But for those who have sex for the first time, that hymen will tear off, causing it to bleed. For those who haven't experience it, probably they are using tampons. The use of tampons will also cause the tearing off of the hymen since your going to insert it inside your vagina. Others also probably have small hymens that's why no bleeding takes place during their first time.

generally there will be a little blood but sometimes there will be slight blood for several times after starting intercourse. somepeople who are virgins do not bleed at all.
