if you want it for drumming- led zepplin is what you need but
black sabbath is always a great choice
ac/dc is awesome
ramones rock
nirvana is just a band in the right place at the right time
if you do that order you will learn what made todays music what it is

From your list I would choose Nirvana. If you're looking to be inspired, go buy a Smashing Pumpkins album (either "Meloncholly and the Infinate Sadness, or Siamese Dream).
If you want a newer band, try Muse. They are amazing.
