hello, i was just wandering. theres this kid at school, who dresses fashionably weird. can anyone know what his specific style. I don't know if it's cool or queer? let me be specific on what he looks like. For Starters, he wears a black small hoodie, and what he claims are "girl jeans". His hair color is blue, style is short on the back, but has long bangs, which he combs to one side to cover half his face. He also wears eyeshadow, a lip ring, earrings, black nails, punk rock belt and sports black n white checkerd vans. he's tall and very skinny. he absolutely says nothing and always listens to bands that no one has ever heard of. Can anyone tell me what the hell is this guy? and why does he dress that way? he sorta scares me.

he kind of makes me laugh sometimes. I'm not saying he's telling jokes or anything, but by the way he walks. especially during class time, the door is next to the teachers desk, and he always walks in 25 minutes late with a blank stare like nothing is going to happened to him. and the teacher is like "What!?" and then he sends him to the office. funny **** like that. One thing that bothers me about him, is the fact most of the boys talk **** behind his back, but most of the girls find him appealing. Someone said his kind is harmless? I don't know but for a skinny guy he looks somewhat imtimating.

Sounds like an interesting guy...
I'd consider him cool, and not "queer"... but you never know. And I'm guessing he just takes self expression pretty seriously. It takes guts to do **** like that, especially when people WILL talk about you behind your back. You've gotta just not give a ****, and most people aren't like that.
If you want a classification, however- a lot of people said emo, but I don't really think that's the case. Emo is a genre of music (short for emotional), and is often equated with emotional (aka depressed) behavior... He doesn't sound depressed to me. I wanna just say he's an individual, but his style sounds punk and goth influenced (and ok, the whole girl jeans thing IS often associated with emo, so maybe he does listen to emo and can be classified as such). I wouldn't let him scare you. You never know if he's really gonna kick your *** or if its just for show. Either way, just give him the same respect you'd give anyone (hopefully) and don't deliberately piss him off.

The kid is part of the Emo crowd. Short for "emotional". That's the newer term for what is actually an old look. Like always. Of course, again like always, he won't want to actually be called Emo because that would affiliate him with a common group and they hate that. Just like the typical Goth kids. They all wear that T-shirt that says something like "You stare at me because I'm different, I stare at you because you're all the same" which is really quite funny since they all own that shirt.... thusly making them all the same. But I digress. Don't be afraid of the skinny kid wearing make-up. Just put on Pictures of You by The Cure and watch him dissolve into tears.

He's an emo that is probably going through a phase. He sounds harmless, he's just expressing himself through the way he dresses. BTW, all the skaters in Southern California wear the skinny jeans and I wouldn't equate them as being queer. Do people really still use that word?

this is called an EMO and most of these kids are quite harmless. my cousin wears girl jeans...i helped pick them out for him, that aint queer thats just his style...its a pretty big thing here in cali.

No need to be scared of him, most emos are very quiet and keep to themselves.
He dresses that way to express himself.
by the way...a lot of people consider that style to be 'cool'.

he must be "scene" not emo because thats a type of music genre. clothes can be an oppourtunity to express yourself, maybe he likes looking "strange/ different"...or the attention who knows ask him?

sounds emo and emo is hot just so u know, u should like him cuz he is cool... u should learn to accept people for who they are not what they look like ... but it sounds like he is emo... look it up :D or go on myspace.com u should be there anyways...
