are 3 1/2 inch clear perspex heels too desparate? are they considered "stripper shoes"? respectable for a first date?

I wouldn't. They really do look like stripper -or drag queen- shoes. :-/ Sorry. Black stilettos would be 100 times better and sexier.

Your shoes sound fine. In any case, wear what you want. If you are cautious enough to wonder if a pair of shoes are too slutty, you probably have enough decent judgement to not like an accessory that is over the top anyway.
I've noticed that girls judge women by their shoes more than guys do. So it probably won't even being on your date's mind.

The heel height is fine, it's the clear thing that makes them stripper shoes. I wouldn't wear them on a first date. It might give him the wrong impression.

They are considered "stripper heels." Chris Rock does a whole comedy routine about clear heels. Best to avoid them altogether.

It depends very much on the rest of your outfit. It could be very tasteful.
On a practical note, are you well practised in wearing in the shoes? Nothing looks more slutty than a woman tottering around on heels higher than she is used to wearing.

3 1/2" is not a stripper heel...5"+ would be.

Depends on the situation. If you're going clubbing or out to a really trendy restuarant (and you have the right look) they're fine. But in just about any other situation, they'd be too much.

Yeh their fine nothing is too slutty , i wouldent complain if you took me out wearing those shoes as long as you dident stand on my feet more than 47 times id be fine with it.
