The password for the administrator account is located in your manual.

I think the ADMIN password is set at time of installation.

If you are the only user as well as admin
you should have an admin account you never go into except to solve difficult problems and make yourself a user account with admin permissions to normally use. Then you need to activate windows with microsoft or it shuts down in 3 days and will not let anyone use it. There are hackers on the internet that can get around all this old hogwash but since I am not a high tech criminal I cant tell you what to do,

TRY pushing steadily F8 when you boot past BIOS into Windows and select SAFE MODE. SEE what happens
you should get the option of the Administrater account. If someone has set a password here I do not know what to do...otherwise you can go into the user part of the control panel and deal with accounts from here. If you set a password it is best to set a BIOS password and not a Windows one. Just leave the window blank and enter nothing if windows asks you to SET any passwords at all.

http://www.loginrecovery.com/

This site provides a tool to recover lost Windows XP passwords. It works for administrator and user accounts, it doesn't change the password just tells you the old one. It works with encrypted files (EFS) and password hashes. It even works if no passwords at all are known for the machine (as long as you have another computer with internet access to view this website with).

Just press enter. Don't put in a password. If that doesn't work you will probably need to install a new copy. Sorry it sucks I know
