Why would anyone that knew that Mark Foley was sending obscene messages to children not take action to stop him? Does it always have to be about politics?

I don't think they can justify it at all. The GOP is going to take a big hit on this, and deservedly so. This goes beyond political partisanship, it's just sleazy. I have to think a guy who was "reaching out" on the internet "got lucky" at least once in a while, so I don't think anyone should try to minimize this.

Aside from never admiting you are wrong and protecting the rich and powerful, cause we all know that its alright to be such as Foley in this administration of anything goes and to hell with the consequences I can think of no reason to do so. But I forgot the Republicans hear God better than the Democrats.

Republicans are known for distancing themselves from people who exhibit improper behavior.
The Democrats just seem to love the bad boys.
I am only 21 and this has been my observation since I started to vote.

They protected him for a year because Clinton is a sexual man, Condit is a bad man, Frank is a gay man, and because God obviously told them to.
Or is it that they care about nothing but power?
intersting point about this scandal breaking now - it competes effectively with the new fascist law congress just passed and with woodward's book.

as we all have known for some time, because republicans are nothing more than hypocrites!!
i cant believe the answer that cassandra gave you, blaming it on the democrats, and god!!
wtf?? does god talk to the republicans and tell them to protect a child molester??
