There are 16.3 mls in a cubic inch.

4.7 litre = 4700 mls = 288 cubic inches

Just taking a stab at it but I would say 289 would be closer, 5.0 is a 302,305 and 5.7 would be a 350.

cc, or ci = 2pi x r^2h x number of cylinders. Either you use cm, or you use inches. That's how you get the "liter" or "cubic inch" answer. But horsepower is a different matter.
