He is the most opportunistic selector India has ever had just a year ago when Ganguly was captain there was argument between the selector that ganguly should be dropped both as a captain and player but he firmly told the committee that ganguly should stay but month after that incident when ganguly scored a century against Zimbabwe (not a big team of course) he was dropped from the team both as a captain and player .It was the time when jagmohandalmiya lost the election of bcci and sharadpawar took over the reins. As a player i don't Think he contributed even 1\4th of which ganguly has contributed to the cricket. He has never won an single match individually he was unfit wicket keeper of the India. He stayed in the team not because of the performance but purely because of selection committee sympathy towards him which ganguly did not have.

He was a good wicket keeper batsman for India. Though there are many critics about his decisions during his tgenure as Chairman of Selection Board, without any bias, I feel that he has done a reasonably fair job.

Well I never saw him play but he did a decent job in heading the selection commitee. We should not forget that he had a very big hand in improving our team.

well in my view he is a really wise man!!
he knows the situation and then chooses the players for the team according to it.
he always gives preference to the most talented above the most richest!
he never partialates!
all info on him is here-
