It is cheorograph but the injuries are real.Just ask yourself this question,''How do I fake falling off from a 7-feet ladder and crashing onto a table infront of thousands of people watching live?'' and ''If I crash onto a pile of thumbtacks, will it hurt?''.Yes,they are scripted but the injuries are real.

I'm assuming you're referring to professional wrestling and not the greco-roman stuff seen in the Olympics.

The official term for professional wrestling is "sports entertainment". The insiders term for professional wrestling is a "work" which is a piece of entertainment disguised as a wrestling match, in which the outcome (and usually some elements within the match) have been predetermined by professional writers.

But, even though these pros are following a script, they still suffer from all sorts of injuries, so in that context, it isn't fake.

This site has a great write-up of the history of professional wrestling.

The matches are scripted, each wrestler knows who's going to win or lose. Like anything else, accidents do happen, that aren't written into the script, the risk of someone getting seriously hurt, is always going to be there, all the wrestlers can do, is hope that nothing goes wrong.

Wrestling matches depending on what wrestling you watch can be real or fake for instance ECW befor it was bought by Vince Mcmahon was the most real wrestling you could get.

Now i dont know how they could fake an injury cause alot of them are gone for long periods of time while the matches may be fake alot of there injuries are very real.

False information herein. The pros dont "practice" other than night after night. Its shoot-as-shoot-can, its come-as-you-are, in short, they respond; the only thing they know is an outline and who will win at which point and some of the basic high points from the booker/writer. Actually, they are "calling" in the ring, if you look, you will see it, though subtlely, its more entertaining to ignore it though.

i've had some pro wrestling traning, and the bits that are real are; the chops (they hurt) the weapons stuff can be (falling off ladders and crashing thru stuff etc.) and the bruises. It is fake but jumping around that much does hurt eventually.

No, it isn't. And I really doubt if any one of them can stand 1 minute against any "Ultimate Fighter" in a real fist to fist...
Very good question...It's all about entertainment.
Wrestling died out for awhile until "Hulk Hogan" and "Macho Man Randy Savage" brought it back to what it is today.

No, it is all rehearsed, and they are professionals. Accidents happen, those are real. Also slams on the mat are real. A little percent of it is real. Everyone has a script to stick to make it look real.
