I am a female and I am dating my sister's friend (who is a guy). She hates me and wants me to have nothing to do with her friend. The problem is I really like him and it just sort of happened. My sister won't even look at me when I see her and she ignores me at family things. I cant even take my boyfriend as she doesnt want him there - she is not really talking to my boyfriend either. What do I do?

Just to add my sister has a boyfriend who she has been with for 8 years and she says she is not jealous. How am I supposed to deal with this at family gatherings as she is making me very uncomfortable.

ok well I have done this before just not to my sister but one of my friends best friends which was a boy was her best friend too..He had asked me out and I had liked him for a long time so I said yes..She got mad at me and didnt talk to me and yes just like your sis she said she wasnt jelous but she was...So, your sis will come around I me after all he is still her best friend your just his gf now right.And she should know you wouldnt step in between there relationship like that..anyway I hope I heled you ..night..MACK

If you truly care about this guy, who cares what your sister thinks. She's going to get over eventually. It may take a while, but just give it some time. I hate to put something that's already been said but it sounds like she's jealous of you because she likes him. And if it's really bothering you found a way to get through to her. Ask her what her problem is, and if she refuses to answer, tell her to grow up. And forget about your sister, and do whatever you feel is right.

She is not talking to her guy friend anymore because he's with you?!
Does she secretly like him herself, does she think you are taking away all her friends, doesn't think you two should be together because he is a playa or something?
Ask her and get an explantion!
How were you supposed to know?!

maybe your sister wants him and is a little jealous that you're with him. Or she had a little crush or something on him, because I don't find anything wrong if she and he were just friends and nothing else, so maybe she fancies him a little...

Ignore her, it sounds to me like she is jealous that he isn't giving her all of his attention. If she treats him that way, she isn't much of a friend to him either. If you and him are happy, tell her to buzz off.

you weigh it. what's more important your sister or the guy.. cant you find another guy which you and your sister will be happy at same time.
your sister might know the person deeply and she might not want you to be hurt as well. why not talke to her
