It's stupid. Our country was founded on the idea of immigrants. Nobody was here except for Native Americans until Europeans started drifting in. What if there had been a fence then? Oh, are we too full now that we're all here?

I think it will be an ineffective use of tax dollars. If we put more focus on building infrastructure in foreign economies, and less on blowing them up, we can fight illegal immigration by making other places more attractive places to live.

I mean, lets be honest, the world must be in a REALLY bad place for people to risk their lives to live under George Bush! (Then again, I suppose the closer you are to him, the safer you are)

This is going to be the Great Fence of America.

And once again, it won't be visible from outer space.

a complete waste of time, energy and money.
get real..a fence isn't going to solve the problem.
you need to fix it from the other side.

what about all those Canadians that come through from the north?? you let them come through without a second glance..is that because they're white??

white people aren't dangerous??
please!

what a crock.

The problem is that these people come over illegally and then they get fake ids and get on welfare. The Canadians come over legally and don't hurt out economy (aka they get jobs). Therefore, I'm all for it, and whatever else they can do.

It should have been done 50 years ago, it's about time. If you want to come and live in this country, great, do it the legal way!
