okay because I dont have acne or anything but I noticed in the past year that my skin on my face just looks rougher than it used to, like my pores are bigger....or something. I dunno I cant pinpoint what is different but my skin just used to look healthier and had more of a glow to it. Or maybe it's just me getting older (i'm only 19 tho)

ABSOLUTELY!
I'm a smoker, & I notice a huge difference in my skin after just 48-hours.
I don't have rough skin problems, but my skin is kind of grey when I'm smoking.
When I stop smoking my skin has a healthier, pinker tone, & the smile creases around my eyes are not so deep.
Give up smoking now, & give it up forever! Easier said than done..but easier today than tomorrow!!!!

There is a very small change to the metabolism on quiting smoking which can in theory lead to putting on weight. However the majority of people who put on weight after quitting do so because they substitute in food especially sugary snacks so its a simple case of eating more. If this is something that concerns you make sure ou have healthy snacks like fruit on hand for when those cravings hit and make use of all that new found energy and take up a bit of exercise.

All of these answers so far are great. Smoking robs your skin of moisture also. Once you quit, keeping your skin moist along with vitamins will help restore the healthy glow and feel of your skin. Drinking a lot of water and cutting down on soda should help also.

Yes you will see a big difference in your skin within 6 weeks of quitting.

Depending on your age get an age appropriate skin care program, Proactiv, Obagi, over the counter products whatever your budget allows.

You'll be saving lots of money that you would normally spend on cigarettes. So set that money aside and treat yourself to a trip to a day spa or mini vacation.

Good luck and hang in there and good for you.........

Yes, it will give your skin that glow back. Smoking causes premature wrinkles around the eyes and lips. Your natural healthy skin color will come back after quitting smoking. I don't think there is a permanent damage to your external skin yet. Glad to hear you quit smoking.

Quitting will most definitely make you skin look 100% better, and could save your life in the long run. I honestly don't understand why people smoke. My grandmother died from lung cancer and there are my aunts and uncles still puffing away after seeing her suffer so bad. If she had quit earlier she would still be alive today.

Definitely, yes. Smoking will cause your fingertips and nails to turn yellow and your skin lose it's glow and color. You should stop immediately, get some vitamins for your skin, and consult professionals.

Yes, but it is not automatically, it recovers, but it slows the aging process, and makes you to look a little bit younger, it is better if you get yourself a facial massage and quit smoking.
