Why do we create intangible beliefs in order to feel connected to something greater than our selves?

Question

Why do humans feel the need to create some sort of intangible realm of connection to some other being? (whether it be to God, Gods, or each other . . . .) we seem to imagine our subconscious minds connect to something greater in some ephemeral place.

I understand that this idea stems from human loneliness, and our sense that we cannot connect to others - but are we not going about this backwards?

I mean our minds are the one thing we DON'T share! THIS is the place where our minds connect (not yahoo answers, as great as it might be, but in existence). This is where we can learn to understand one another. This is where we are inextricably a part of everything that is - a mere drop in an ocean no doubt - but a part of the ocean none the less.

Is this not the forum in which we ARE connected to something greater than ourselves? And that something is the all of existence.

When existence is seen from this perspective I have to ask what is it that makes us think we are alone?

We don't understand ourselves. We are born conditioned.We need something to fill this "me" or else our life is empty. We think that this "me" must continue and need to be identified with something greater to fulfill its existence. We are looking for something which we don't understand outside ourselves. With this we create all kinds of belief and faith to justify this longings. How can we understand something outside when we really don't understand this self that is searching.Our mind is really connected,but we are not aware because of psychological conditioning. According to many intelligent beings, the first step is the most important before the journey.To discover oneself is the first step. If we discover this self we can be totally related to everybody, this is the true connection to the whole and the whole is life.

we are not alone! For one and for two genetics and hormones released in our brains make us this way; so we can make sense of things. We dont understand, we lie to our selves every day to feel better, to cure the pain of emotion with endorfines or dopamine and seratonane. We operate on chemical reaction within the grey matter that enteracts with the outside world. look at the computer; it is the closes thing built like us that we created! we are trying to recreate our sevels because we are afraid of extiction. we want to live!!!! well the majority any way! we want to live forever whether it be in body or soul we have to be no 1. we cant be tottaly one with anything because it ends the need e are vain addicts of life and like any other animal its just a part of survival but you know is as hard of life as it can be just think if you are so complicated and are self suficient and can feel as good or as bad as we can then we must havebeen created out of love and inteligents or one or the other energy when we think of just energy such as electricity or some kind of motion we dont find it inteligent we know what it is and how to use it even alot of ots laws and so on but we realy dont understand it and even in science energy light and dark is forever what does energy think and does it know that we do hence a God energy the creator enrgy and matter the things we are made up of and think about those amazing feeling you feel and the abundance of emotion life brings and teaches its us that its power its not a matter of being alone the lonely humans its the undeniable fact that all of these things are to mysterious for God or only the lonely which is extremely doubtful i meen theres probably a species from every kind thats made it to the top of the food chain at one time or another there is no impossibilities because we realy dont know s**t we are just here to grow and learn we will always be infants to some degree maybe we will learn when we realy die and transfer completly into that exaustable energy will we still be contious even after that point we wont know untill we get there

Because it takes our minds off the fact that we cannot be anymore smaller and insignificant in this universe and to the cycle of life. To this universe we're like a grain of sand in ALL of the ocean in this planet, and this is left short by the fact that the universe has no limitations, it is infinite. Our minds cannot conceive the thought that our existence is that meaningless and that IT might even be, in the end of time when all the answers are answered, something that occurred by mere chances, a single atom exploded with another and boom... we come to be. God is there to make our forthcoming more "special" with an actual purpose as to why we came to be and why we will all one day die, and as logical as this might sound for some people, it is still nothing more than a sugar coated version of us just existing for the simple purpose of dying, period... and in the end sugar's always sweeter than salt, therefore we just... believe.

The idea stems from all of the things in our lives which we have no control over. We place a face and name upon those things we cannot control so that we can talk to them and try in our own pathetic way to convince them to send positive variables our way--you've got it all wrong, dude!

sturdy, one much less offender in existence ! Too undesirable they don't do it extra often in each state for for this reason plenty extra forms of criminals , not in basic terms pedophiles, rapists , murderers and it in all probability did not take place quickly sufficient , often takes years until the offender asked for the dying Penalty and gave up the charm technique, and so on !

Because we all lack something basic; our minds do not connect us to all that is, they separate us from it. When one is all, there is no one else and there is no you. THAT is lonliness and that is why we took this form.
