I used to use such a program "TVkoo!". You download it (it's free) and have quite a number of channels. One of them is/was 'star sports' on which I watched Formula 1 a couple of times. but later this channel was cancelled and now, when i'm trying just to enter the site - it's gone.. (maybe Bernie found out about that and closed it :P)
if you want, try it.. maybe it'll work:

I don't know about internet, but F1 is usually on Speed TV thu-sun, every two weeks during the season. Go to speedtv.com and check out the schedule.

the next race is next week! SUZUKA

Also check out the official f1 website.

I don't think there will be any Internet sites. Its very expensive to get a contract to show F1 live.
However, you can get live timing and live commentary, which is often more informative than the TV because when you get used to translating it, you can see who is going quicker or slower, and who is about to overtake who. I always have it on when the TV is on, because it answers so many more questions.
You can get it at

Aloha from Down Unda!

Yeah, watchin live is just a fantasy for me, so far. The offical website [http://www.formula1.com] does provide a splendid account of live timing & plenty of interesting information but actually watching 'live', I think, is yet to come.

Go Michael, go!
