I have recently changed my computer from amd to Intel M Centrino Duo processor. It takes unusually long to save spreadsheets.

try reinstalling you writing program, perhaps some off the files have got corrupt
changing the cpu should not have made a differance unless it is a smaller mhtz

i it just problem saving spreadsheet Files or you've got an other problems too?
you should be more specific because normally changing processor doesn't have any effect in Spreadsheet saving

should of got a better amd processor than going to intel but that's my opinion try restarting computer or uninstalling usless programs
