Do you think you might be pregnant? Brown bleeding is common for implantation of the egg. Otherwise I would think no, brown discharge will not come before your period. Brown means its old blood and I would think that old blood wont come before your period.

I get it too sometimes after my period is about to go away... Also, if my cycle is acting weird I'll just get brown discharge as well

sounds like you're spotting... there are alot of things it could be... depending on if you are normally irregular or if there is an odor coming along with it... my suggestion would be see a gyno...

brown discharge is generally 'old' blood it is still menstration
