A question that i have been stuck on for a while. I can't find it in my textbook. Any help will be very much appreciated.

What made American society in the eighteenth century seemingly less equal than it has been in the seventeeth century?

In the seventeenth century the country was more "new" and open.

By the 18th century there were more towns and laws affecting people.

Remember that the 17th century was really the 1600's and the 18th century was the 1700's.

Both centuries had slaves and indentured servants. I would also add in that were was more of a financial system in place as well. People used more money and less barter.

I'm not sure what answer your teacher is looking for but hopefully what I added here will help.

I should also add in control by England and taxes which led up to the revolution.
