Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus - son of Publius Cornelius Scipio. He saved his father from death when he was only 18 in the battle of Trasimene.

He started his campaign against Hannibal by capturing Hannibal's Spanish base of Cartegena & then defeated 2 Cathaginian generals after which he crossed over into North Africa, forcing the Carthaginian senate to recall Hannibal from the Italian peninsula.

He went on to defeat Hannibal in the Battle of Zama, thereby ending the 2nd Punic war in Rome's favour. For his exploits in North Africa, the Roman leadership bestowed him with the title of Africanus.
