"I realize that the major issue in life is not MY salvation, but the issue is God's reputation and character. Am I representing HIM properly?" from "How Do I Know if I'm Converted" http://www.goodnewsaboutgod.com

I find this interesting because awhile ago I'd read some gal talking to G?d and she was wanting to defend H?s name and honor. And she said that H? said that H? could take care of that H?mself.
So, do we come a step closer to fighting our own holy wars and killing/enslaving/imprisoning people (for whatever "reason") if we are trying to stand up and defend God?
(Is G-d so weak that He cannot send down a single lightning bolt or "flu bug" or meteor where He thinks it is needed?)

We should not make war over God's "reputation," indeed God can take care of Himself. However, we can fight in self-defense, when we are attacked.

Problem is that "God" are in some people. so they fought for that excuse. Some of those people actually die. However, the real reason why any war is fought is the land and the control of it.

If one could see those differences, then one is closer to understanding how it works for the people and how it really works for the governments. Very different perspectives indeed.

Accept that regardless of what your beliefs are,
"a man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still",
that you are a limited human, and whomever your God, gods, Goddess, goddesses, or Deities are or were, they are doubtless much more capable and wise than you, and if they have chosen to do nothing directly to force others to believe as you do, perhaps you should not do anything to force others to believe as you do either.

If you don't want to fight in holy wars, then don't start killing people over it.

Take a picture in front of a mirror and see if you have a halo above your head.
