My period is about a week and a half late...I think due to stress. I have had some minor cramps for 2 or 3 days, sore breasts, and today I had some light brown discharge. Do you think I am getting ready to start my period?

sounds like it to me, I usually get a slight light brown discharge just before my period(sometimes) but always just as its ending, its normal I wouldnt worry about it

i am having those same symptoms right now. if your pregnancy test was negative, i wouldn't worry unless it happens again next month. i once missed a period completely due to the stress of a move.

Wow i have never heard of brown discharge i am a guy though and that is kind of gross Maybe you should see your gyno?
