He left town on vacation and didn't tell me he was even taking time off! Why am I suppose to keep him posted, but he doesn't have to do he same for me? Is he trying to control me? This is the guy who said it means a lot to him when I make sure to say bye before I leave work at night.

I would just blow it off. Men dont think the same rules apply to them. Sounds like he is just being a guy and I am sure he didnt put the two together. We as women tend to think too much. If he didnt care at all he wouldnt want you to say bye. Unfortunatly men dont think about these things untill we bring it to their attention.

ya, sounds like he is in control.
The problem is that you let him do it.
It is easy in life to blame things on other people.
Time for you to NOT do everything he tells you to do.
One way or another it isn't your OBLIGATION to say good bye after work. If you do you do, if you don't you don't. If it angers him......well that is down right scary. You don't have any obligation to explain anything to him. Never let a guy have that much control over you. If you love saying goodbye with him is good, then do it. Otherwise just stand up for yourself.
Actually you saying goodnight to him at work, is very different than him taking a vacation., Thus, you just might be over reacting about this. Does this make sense to you? It seems like a man tells you something and you do it. In the beginning if he asked you to say goodnight when he leaves.....you should of said......hey friend you too.
If he scolded you for taking time off without telling him.......NOW that is HUGE compared to just saying goodnight.
Ask yourself what happened in your life where you feel like you have to do what a man asks you to do.??
Did he really say you were NOT suppose to leave work unless you say bye to him? Or did he just say he liked it when you do?
These are totally two different things I am thinking maybe you are easily controlled and fear not doing what the man asks.
Don't be so hard on him or yourself

Yeah I'd say he's trying to control you. Question is are you going to let him? Since when are you obligated to keep him "posted" about anything you do? What is he anyway, the FBI or something? This one sure has a lot of nerve! Plus it sounds really creepy. Why don't you put an end to all this and concentrate on your work instead?!

I wouldn't consider him a control freak, been there done that, he's just put out because you didn't tell him you were going away is all. Take it as he intended, that he is interested in you.

I truly have wandered about this very like how might want to he have enable the natzi kill little ones like that, truth is i dono, yet can we need to get dealt with like gods ??? can we deserve some thing ? isnt some thing magnificent a present ? we dono what the purpose is we, dono if the individuals who survived the genocide develop into truly the few of gods human beings and if some thing wasnt we dono so how can we choose on issues we dono ? are we god ?

Ask him what business it is of his, you are not married to him, so he has no right to have you keep him posted. He may just be a caring friend, but you don't have to inform him of your comings and goings.
