From what I understand, Best Buy; Future Shop; and EB Games to name a few haven't begun taking preorders for the systems yet. Does anyone have any ideas/guesses as to when retailers will begin preselling PS3 and Wii?

From what some of the store managers of EB Games and Gamestop have told me, they will not take any preorders for either system, since they will be in limited quantities. Those store managers also said that they do not want to go through a similar situation like the one with XBOX 360 last year.

I heard from a reliable source who works at Gamecrazy that Wii preorders will be taking place this week. He told me specifically October 1st and I got mine preordered yesterday, but the guy at the store at the time said I was going to be the last preorder until they get official confirmation that they can start preordering again. The Wii will not be in low quantities by any means either.

I easily have both, and that i imagine no. Wii U is distinctly undesirable and not in any respect extremely worth its fee in any respect, ps3 is miles better suited. if you're drained of your ps3 and extremely want a Wii u, possibly because some good video games will come out for it contained in the subsequent few months. yet Wii U is not any better suited than ps3.

..best buy & future shop will not be taking any preorders on either system..it's first come, first serve on all..as a media supervisor for bby, we haven't even been informed on the quantity of systems we're getting yet either..a little unsettling..i'm guessing it will be the same situation all around the industry..no preorders..your best bet is to call around a few days in advance and find out how many systems each store got, then get your tent and camp out in your local retailer's parking lot..good luck!..

I've heard rumors of problems with the blu-ray disk readers making the supply for Christmas time extremely limited if it even becomes available at all. My guess is that they won't be out in November like they originally said they would, and if they are, it will be a joke, because of all the hardware problems.
