During the scene where Travolta and Samuel are in the apt, Travolta finds a suitcase in a cabinet somewhere and opens it. Something is glowing from inside and that's all the camera shows..Has Tarantino (or anybody else for that matter) ever revealed what's in that suitcase?

The primary point of the glowing suitcase is to give a tribute to "Kiss me Deadly" from the 1950's. In the case, they had uranium which when opened, burned up the person who opened it. I personally have never heard Quentin reveal what is in his case. If he never does, that would leave another classic element to the film. I have heard it speculated that Mr Marsellas Wallace's soul was in the case. Others have said a beautiful work of art studded with jewels.

What is inside of the suitcase is a very bright light---its called a guffin (or maybe a macguffin) its just there to move the plot along. As a matter of fact when the actors opened the suitcase they had no idea what was supposed to be inside.

No. Tarantino meant for it to be a mystery. It could be gold, Marcellus Wallace's soul, Elvis' gold jumpsuit, gold bars, whatever the audience wants to make it.

I'm guessing diamonds or some other precious jewels.

No though it was said to be Marcellas' soul, cocaine and gold. One of those.
