i have along face but my nose is bigger comparitively, does it make any effect on my looks ?

First of all, is it really that big or it it just how you see it?

If you want to make it look shorter try shading with foundation. To make your nose look thinner use foundation a shade or two darker than your skintone (if it's too dark it will be too noticeable) on the sides of your nose and then use lighter foundation (either one that matches your skin tone or a shade lighter to hightlight) on the middle. To make it shorter use a touch of the darker foundation on the tip. Also try contouring under your cheek bones with blush or play up your eyes or lips to balance your features.

I would be very wary about surgery because often people end up with noses that look totally unnatural on their faces. Also it's something you shouldn't consider until you've stopped growing.
