I have been using maxfactor foundation for about three years now, i tried mac last year but didn't like it, found it too cakey. i use the compact foundation as i find liquid foundation messy.

can anyone recommend a good foundation - i cant decide if i should get l'oreal, maybelline, covergirl, or spend a bit more and get clinique?

Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

Avon!!! Avon!!! Avon!!!

Beyond Color Radiant Lifting Foundation is a really top quality foundation.
We have cheaper ones as well, like Personal Match Liquid with SPF 10, Perfect Wear all Day Comfort Liquid Foundation which also has SPF 10. and Soft Matte Mousse, which is very popular.
If you prefer a compact Personal Match Creme to Powder is fantastic. It goes on wet, and dries to a powder (hence the name you see...)

The good thing about Avon is we can get little sample tubes to try, because everyone's skin is different. What's good for one person won't necessarily be good for another's.

You said in a reply to one of my questions that you're an Avon rep, so use your own products, and don't support the opposition!!!!

Clinique definitely makes the best foundations... You should try the one that is called FIT something.... It is creamy enough to be easy to use, but not so thick that it will look cakey. And it's oil-free, so it won't clog your pores. You should use a very little amount of foundation and only where you need it: usually the median zone of your face. And it's not that much more expansive than L'Oreal!!!!

Hey Hon
Cover Girl is probably your best bet. I've tried many brands and I found that Cover Girl is about as close to max factor as you'll get.

However, I use Jane. I don't know if they have it in a compact, but I use the liquid and it is nice make-up! :)

Hope this helps!

If you can find a Mary Kay rep, I recommend going that route. I've used Mary Kay for years and have sensitive skin. On top of that, I'm about as pale as they come.. and freckled. It covers wonderfully, looks natural and doesn't break me out.
