i was reading an answer, and it was addressed to a person who wanted to become a celebrity after she received an email for a disney channel star. the answer said;
just think that shes talked to many other people that arent gunna be celebs. dont get ur hopes up for becoming one,get over it! lol

why can't you become a celebrity? isn't all you need an agent, some decent headshots, and an acting job with the agent? and then you could work up from there, right?

people always say that not everyone is as lucky as others, and that not everyone gets to do that. why don't they though? you just need an agent. and, why aren't there way more celebrities? if all you need is an agent, shouldn't there be more? how come not everyone makes it?

Its not that easy for everyone. Some people fit the look. some big companys look for a certain person. Good follow your dreams but i think all every one is saying is you will get a lot of doors slammed on you .. you must be thick skin and dont' let the word no bother you .. keep pounding the pavement if thats your dream. But I have seen people picked out of a crowd for things. its just what ever the director is looking for. who can say. or maybe your in the right place at the right time. But you can make it happen for yourself. Check out Sylvester Stallone biography if your interested in learning more. he didnt' have anything handed to him or picked out of a crowd . He just had the heart and the right stuff in side to make his dream a reality.

WIsh you the same too in life.
best of luck.

It's not as easy as just getting an agent and getting a portfolio out there. You've got to have something that makes you stand apart from the crowd, something bankable. And you have to have a passion for acting (or singing or dancing or all of the above).

If you are fortunate enough to make it, then you need to be willing to live your life under a microscope and it's really not your own anymore. You'll be told how to dress, what to do with your hair and face, who you can and can't hang out with... your life will be very much arranged for you. Very few stars have the luxury of a "private" life.

I'm not saying that someone can't be a celebrity but for every one person who does make it, a thousand others have had their dreams crushed.

2 points to consider:

-It can be very easy to be known or famous, but the problem is to be recognized for a long period of time or become a star/celebrity forever.

-Anybody can try to an actor/comedian/singer/rockstar, whatever, but you need to have a back up career or training. It is pretty bad when you see someone who is old and still not making any money and still dreaming that they are going to be big some day.

Some must be jealous of those that have courage to pursue their dreams and not be embarrassed. Because usually when you say you want to be a celebrity people may think that you are a stuck up or something.

I want to be an actress. But many lpeople do put me down. But i dont listen to them
