I am no computer wiz and I think on-line support is closed at this time. I'm frustrated and I don't want to screw up. Please help me!!! I even tried to change the resolution and that was like ...huhh!?

Right click on an empty space on the desktop. Go to properties. then go to settings notice the pixels? check to see what they are set at and make it smaller say 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768. then click okay. Adjust this setting until things are back to normal.

Hope this helps.

Also restart your computer first. I have found that some of the games my kids play on my computer changes these settings to adapt to the game. When I restart my computer things go back to the right settings.

As you have stated, changing the resolution will not help you.

Ok, if you are using WinXp, open your Control Panel and select the 'Display' item. You can right-click on your desktop, but this will get you there everytime, just in case you do not have any spare desltop to click on.

Inside the 'Display Properties', select the tab that says 'Settings', you should be in the tab that says 'Themes'.
You will need to select the 'Advanced' button toward the bottom of the window. This will pop up another window.

This other window will be different depending on your video card, but you should have this basic functionality,

You should see a section that is called 'Display', and within that section should be an area / pull-down menu called 'DPI setting'. DPI stands for Dots Per Inch. This setting may have been changed, most likely scenario, now you need to select one that is 'Normal'. Mine says 'Normal size (96DPI)', plus has a 'Large size (120DPI)' and a custom setting.
You will need to select the 'Ok' button or the 'Apply' and 'OK' buttons on both pop up windows to get it to save. You may need to restart you computer to get the new display, but you may not depending on the settings you have for this type. Once again, do not touch anything, unless you know what you are doing.

If neither of this works, or you do not want to do it, you would be best off getting a computer professional, or your help desk to help.

check the resolution:
right click on desktop, click on "Properties"
goto "Settings" and choose a suitable resolution like 800x600 or 1024x768
click on "Apply"

then goto "Advanced" and check "Small Fonts" are selected.
"Small Fonts" are the common case but the kid maybe choose "Custom" and made a "Smaller" Fonts!

Try: "view", (upper left of page), Then "text size". (I think best setting is medium, try it, or larger if you like!)

Desktop icons (toolbar), size can be changed by right clicking empty space on toolbar, click "customize", then choose icon size
at bottom . (Try the "view" menu first!)
