I used to have less than 60 gigs of music; but then I had to reload windows on my computer. So that meant renaming basically everything in Itunes again. By the time I got around to that, I had a little over 60 gigs, so now it has the selection of music/type of music I listen to most often. How (if at all possible) can I add a playlist now?

itunes should come with a few built in playlists, one of them is most played or top played or something, the when you sync w/ipod, check "only specified playlists" then click the most played . to make a playlist from scratch, click file at the top of the itunes window, new playlist, name it, and right click on songs in your library, put cursor over "add song to playlist", then select the playlist you want to put it in, and click on it. I hope this works ive never had to reload windows before.

you will in no way use 60 gigabytes I swear. Get an iPod touch. There are a million extra issues you're able to do with it; you may get hundreds of apps and browse the information superhighway, examine climate and shares... it is purely a million cases extra desirable.
