i will be interviewing for a job as an assitant for a young, well known actress. what should i wear?? a suit and tie?? or a younger such as a dress shirt and jeans??

Always apply and present for an interview in a suit or other business attire. Once you're hired, then you can discuss dress code. Never apply or interview for a job in jeans unless you're performing manual labor.
As a business owner, if you come into my company in jeans and apply, I don't care how well qualified you are for the position, your application and resume goes directly into the trash. If you don't care to put your best foot forward for your first impression, why should I think your work effort is going to be your best?

Try dockers and a solid color T...(nothing printed on it) under a straight edge button down shirt. Not the kind that has the ovals to be tucked in, but one with a nice line that isn'r too big for you. Matching shoes and belt. Use eye contact and shake (right hand) hands with everyone you are introduced to while looking them in the eye. Good Luck to you.
