the networks are sticking it to TIVO for cutting out there commercials.

It is a way to bypass TIVO and digital DVRs. The networks
have to have a way to make sure you are tuned to their
show. That is why when TBS first started, it began 5 minutes
after hour and ended the same. If you watched their station,
you were stuck, or you missed the first 5 minutes of a regular
network show.

I agree, that's annoying!
You *can* configure TiVo to record an extra one or two minutes after a show. But that sometimes causes a conflict. Grrrr.

I've noticed the same thing. I set it to record and I don't get the last 5 minutes of the show. I think its to keep you from watching someone elses stations.
