Jim Morrison, the lead singer of the doors was an amazing poet, one of the best of the 60s and their music has made it all of these years because as it turns out, whether society likes it or not, he is one of the best poets of the century. Along with some very talented musicians jim morrison and the doors are one of the best bands to come out of the 60s. Try the Soft Parade.

Dead cats, dead rats, break on through to the other side. Still popular because there are still "stoners" out there. And i do mean "out there". The Doors music was mainly for listening to while on an "acid trip". Which by the way Jim Morrison was usually on. Killed him in the end.

I love them. I totally agree that Jim was one of the best poets as our friend above me stated. Genuine music lasts, whereas fads come and go, and one hit wonders are forgotten.

They have power. When my godson was 4, he used to have tantrums, but The Doors's "Riders on the Storm" always calmed him down, can you believe it?
