Well, my mother in law had 4 kids. The first was totally healthy. The second - had a heart defect, the third had cerebral palsy and the fourth was totally healthy. Go figure. Well, she's never regretted having any of them even though at that time there was no surgery for the hole in the heart - he died early. Heart defects do tend to be genetically related. However, there is a good chance of having a totally healthy baby. I'm not sure on the exact statistics - but it's not so high that it would warrant not trying for a healthy one. I mean alot of these things - we really don't know why they happen, but I don't know very many families where there is a disability where they have more than one with a health issue.

Do not worry. Try to have another child. This is called congenial heart disease and the child get it at the time of formation itself in your vomb because of certain defects. Eggs will not be defective always and only instray cases it is like that. Take my word you next baby will be perfectly alright with out any such heart problem.
Wish you all the best for a happy life.

You can never guess what your child will be like, because they always come out just the opposite, and are more perfect than you ever imagined. Defects or no defects! Does your daughters heart condition make you love her any less? Does it make her less of a person? Nope. I doubt it. So don't let your fears make your decisions. Your babies will be beautiful no matter what they may or may not have! Best of luck to you!

I saw the subject line of your question and I was going to say something stupid until I read the content. Sorry to hear about your daughter. I have a four year old and I hope that I never have to deal with that. I don't have an answer for you but you could probably google the causes of her type of heart defect to see if those circumstances still apply to you. The issue could be with you or her dad or maybe you had some kid of condition while you were pregnant with her.

Chances are slim, but around 20 weeks they can schedule you for a level 2 ultrasound to help determine the chances!

a minimum of recommend to them to flow a more suitable homestead. With a minimum of one extra mattress room. that's their existence and they're going to do what they favor even with what the web human beings say. examine with them about it.. with your different stressful siblings.. they're going to easily grow old and a lot less stressful. And for you, you're turning 16 quickly suitable? Get that lisence and get away even as issues get overwhelming! bypass to the library after college. in simple terms bypass do issues.. Your siblings from 6-11 can help your moms and dads aswell. no longer in simple terms you.

my son was born with a major heart defect, tetrology of fallot, my daughter was born 2 years later perfectly healthy. there are no guarantees with having children, we just do our best, cross our fingers, pray to God, and love them unconditionally.
