Thank you for all your sweet and supportive answers. I just came from the hospital and got to see the last two times my "healthy 17 week old baby boy's" heartbeat. I thought I was 4 months ago but what the dr was saying to me when he told me that I have to have surgery to have my dead child removed because I was "5 months ago" kind of confused me. As ignorant as some of the people that respond on these forums are I hope that you never have to face the situation that I am in at this moment. You try to explain to my 6 year old son that the baby he saw on ultrasound 1 week ago is now dead.

One word: Karma

I wish you all the best.

Hey Flo... I have a MBA... what do you have a ged? I questioned this because my doctor stated I was 5 months and I thought I was 4 months. Being a witch to people is going to bit you in the *** because when your life is ruined as mine has been ruined tonight then I hope you get the same snotty response. I have a career, a husband and a son. What do you have other then resentment for what you don't have?

About 4 months and a week. Congratulations on pregnancy. I'm not sure if you've been to this site but, I love it while I was pregnant. Go to babycenter.com Each week they send you an update of what you should/have been going threw. I looked forward to getting it each week! Good Luck!

At 17 weeks you are on the cusp of the two months. It has to do with which of the caladers your Dr uses. Some go by conception date, others by your last menstral system and some by an estimated date. Many diffrent Dr's will give you a diffrnent answer because of this but another thing to take into account is the size of your particular baby. It can be harder on your body to force labor or to try and pass the baby then to have a c-section. It just all depends on your individual circumstances.
Once again I wish you peace and a speedy recovery

Wow. Flo was kinda hateful there. 17 divided by 4 is 4 with 1 remaining. 4 months, 1 week.

17 weeks is considered 4 months. Some people go into "exact" time phrase. They'll say 4 months and 1 week. When it's 4 months and 2 weeks, you can say 4 1/2 months.

I just read on babies online, that a 17 week pregnancy is the beginning of 5 months...(17-20). There are lots of times though, that websites have conflicting information...So I guess you can never know EXACTLY.

I am truely sorry for your lost. I can not imagine ever going through something like that and I know nothing I could say could help, but I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for your loss. People on here can be really harsh when that's what we're on here to do, answer questions. If they don't want to answer a question then why do it?! Once again I am really sorry for your loss and you and my family will be in my thoughts..
