Make sure you allocate your time properly. Devote at least ten to twenty minutes for a homework assignment, maybe more, depending on the difficulty. But make sure to take breaks at regular intervals, like a five minute break to stretch, get something to drink, a snack to eat, restroom etc. Once you have finished your homework, then reward yourself by doing what you like to do in your freetime, play some sport, video games, television, movies, internet, etc. Most importantly, is that when you do your homework, focus on that only, don't have any outside distraction, such as watching television at the same time. Some people can do their homework while listening to music, I would highly recommend against that, especially songs with lyrics, they tend to divert your focus from your homework and tend to make you want to sing, making you lose your concentration. Any type of musical that doesn't have lyrics, such as classical, I would recommend. Another thing to do is to work in an area with little distraction, such as a study room or library, where there are not much things around you to fiddle around with, and posters on the wall tend to distract as well. There are also some people who say that if you paint a room with a yellow color, it helps to keep you more focused and study better. I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I don't think that it would do any harm if you did paint a room yellow.

Gee whiz dude, welcome to the procrastination association, we just haven't gotten around to it yet, but we'll get there sometime." Procrastination is not a disease. There is no cure for it LOL. All you need is WILL POWER. You take the initiative to do it and get it done. No one can help you.... You can only help yourself. It all comes down to changing the way you think. Say you got a section of math work to do, and the first thought you have is a bowl of ice cream. You gotta know how to manage your time. I am gonna do this much work in 1 hr, then I am going to take a 10 minute break then finish up chapter 1 notes for history. It takes practice to get used to it, but again it's all up to you!

Set a time limit for a task. Make sure you stick to it. Do whats most important first and keep in mind you should work and then play.

write a list of what you have to do- if its a big project break it up into steps. figure out how long it will take you to finish, then decide on how long you will work on it each day to get it done. this helps to reduce the overwhelmed feeling. if its necessary give yourself a reward after you've finished the project or maybe just finishing it would be the reward.
