I'm considering a career in the arts, and I was hoping for some suggestions of what options are out there.

I'm a painter at heart. I'd kill to be able to sell my art for a living, but I'm aware of how childish the thought is. Still, I'm not yet certain the idea is as absolutely absurd as everyone else seems to think. I'm only 14 right now, but I think I'll be great with time. Maybe I wouldn't end up rich and famous, but at least I wouldn't die a slave in a cubical, right?

But anyway, I was hoping for suggestions of careers that are similar to painter but a little more realistic. Anything in the arts.

I love art...mostly photography.. I'd love to get a job in it...but there always seems to be someone better at it then I was...so Id get discouraged...but if you're dedicated and motivated...go for it!
