Providing your terminal are nice a clean...
It is your starter solenoid.. Not sure if it is in the starter or not on your car. Fords use to use the external type.
When you turn the key, the solenoid shoots forward and large contacts connect the battery to the starter motor. The contacts get burned from arcing and can't pass the current needed by the starter. Sometimes adding another battery will cause it to work.
Most cars today have starters with internal solenoids, but some have them externally. Follow the large red cable from the battery. It will either go to the starter or a large relay with two large terminals on it. The other large wire would go to the starter.
If it is external, you can jump the two big terminals with the ign switch in the run position. If it cranks, then that solenoid is bad.
If it's in the starter, a starter repair shop can easily replace the contacts for far less than a new starter.

My best guess would be loose battery cable ends, a bad starter solenoid, or a bad starter. '93 Falcon you say???? I thought they stopped making Falcons in the '60s...But, the symptomology is the same regardless of the model. "Clicking" noise usually indicates a lose wire, bad solenoid, or bad starter, UNLESS the battery was not completely charged or is DEFECTIVE. Yes, I've had batterys right from the shop, right out of the box, defective. Not often, but it has happened. There is also a remote chance that the neutral safety switch is defective, which would not allow the car to start. Move the gearshift to neutral (automatic trans only) and try to start it . Check the cables first. If they are tight, have the starter componants tested.

Did you car start fine before it needed a new battery and you replaced it? If so, if the vehicle might have an anti-theft system, if so, itmight need to be reset.
If it doesnt have an anti-theft system, the click you are hearing could be the starter solenoid and the starter itself is not engaging, which you will need a new starter.
Test it before you replace, make sure you have 12v and ground at the starter with the key on engine cranking.

Sounds like it might be a bad starter solenoid. Take it to your local parts store and have them test it. Most places can do a complete test without having to remove anything from the car, and it is free most of the time.

Sounds like your starter is the issue...the battery was probably fine to begin with.

It could just be a ground wire loose from your starter or could just be a bad starter all together...I'd say have it checked out by auto zone or something...hope this helps
