According to my latest issue of Anime Insider, Hayao Miyazaki has decided to come out of retirement to work on his next film. Due to his son making Gedo Senki, (Tales of Earthsea), there has been sort of a family feud going on. Hayao did not approve of his son, Goro, making an animated film, largely due to the fact that he was an architect and only had experience as director of the Ghibli Museum. Not to be shown up by his son, he has come out of retirement but they did not disclose what film he was working on next.

He isn't making them any more - he's leaving it up to his son.

Don't expect much from Tales of Earthsea, his son isn'T that good.
