Do you think nuclear war is imminent?

Just want to get your feedback on this, do you think we will see this happen within the next 5 years?

More than imminenet. It started a few yers ago with the shock-and-awe program which used depleted uranium she;;s. There was so much radiation that it was registered as far away as England.

Mr. Reagans administration created a complex space nuclear defense system that costed a lot of millions to win the ARMS race against Russia. The companies that work in the arms development are well established in our nation and they enjoy good reputation. Not to forget the cutts in PELL GRants and Social Programs that happend during Reagans admin and now during this one. I think we posses the biggest arsenal of nuclear weapons in the world and somepoeple want to find it use.

THe program "ATOMS for Peace" was launched in the 60's to develop the nuclear enrichment with "peacefull purposes" so underdeveloped nations utilize Nuclear energy for power generation. Well the sons and doughters of that program are IRAQ, IRAN, INDIA, PAKISTAN Saudi Arabia developed the nuclear energy programs as well as some european and other Asian countries. But we don't worry about Russia anymore so now we need a new focus of world conflict. Looks like oil countries are a good pretext.

A nuclear war can be prevented if We stop breaking international ballistic missels treaties like this administration has been doing by not signing some of the reductions. We have the best organized WAR MONGERS on the White House and with the great media help they will make it look like a war is something inevitable and justified.
Look at Israel conflict with Hezbola and you can get an idea of what is the strategy from this Admin to justify a nuclear attack. They will make it look like we will have to go and rescue Israel from a conflict with IRAN because poor Israel cannot deal with it. I'm a christian and I have to talk about this things the way they are.

Though I do think Nuclear war is possible, I dont think it will really come to that.
We will find other ways of wiping out the human species.

As long as it stays in the right hands with the right minds, it would be an excellent deterrent to terrorism.

I stay in India, and I felt compelled to speak on this topic since all the other answers were picking on India.

Lemme tell ya'll something.. India has roughly 5 million Muslims and an assortment of other religions.. But how many of Indian Muslims have been involved in worldwide terrorism? None.

And stop picking on Pakistanis too. It is just a small section of Muslim fanatics that are breeding (and reproducing) terrorism.
I know a lot of Pakistanis who are EXCELLENT and very noble in the true sense of the word.

Why cant people just concentrate on their own backyard???
America has used missiles that created and still creates genetic ripples in Iraqi populace. I should know, coz I have been researching on the Gulf war and its aftermath for more than a decade...

Not a full scale nuclear war but possibly between two third world countries, that's why the U.S. doesn't want Korea and Iran to have nukes. Do you remember not long ago Pakistan and India were threatening each other with nukes, It'll be something like that.

i think it is , which ever country has nuclear weapons there is always the threat of using them be it the states to india to china if that sort of fire power is there they will use it if they have to, in the next 5 yrs maybe anythings posible

Yes, but I doubt it will happen in five years. I feel really creeped out about it too, it just takes one country to use a nuke, and then everyone else will start firing theirs! Scary.....
