How? My Grandparents bought a ipod then copied from a mac and now they want to back it up using a PC. Is there a program that can be used to read the file system and copy from it? Thanks.

You cant take and ipod and use it on one computer and then another one, if you do it would erase the music in the ipod, so u want to google something like ipod music copy... or something along those lines, next time u want to back up your music and take it to another pc try to have the ipod enable as a hard drive

Try plugging it into the computer running Windows, and see if you can reformat it (This will erase ALL content on the iPod).
Do NOT use the windows reformat option, this may erase the iPod data files.
